Hope Starts Here: One Goal, One Community

Make a donation to the St. Petronille Parish and School Sleep Out Saturday Campaign

Badges:

On Sleep Out Saturday (November 1st), hundreds of children, teens and adults will spend the night sleeping outside in tents, boxes, and cars or doubled up inside their homes without a bed to call their own, all to raise awareness about family homelessness and funds for Bridge Communities' Transitional Housing Program.

Your support has the power to change lives! With your help, Bridge Communities will transition over 100 families to self-sufficiency by working with community partners to provide mentoring, housing, and supportive services. Please give today to demonstrate your commitment to helping families facing homelessness build a bridge to a brighter future!

A personal message from St. Petronille Parish and School

This year, St. Petronille Parish and School are participating in Sleep Out Saturday to support Bridge Communities’ mission to end homelessness in DuPage County. All members of the parish are encouraged to join us in making a difference in the lives of those who are affected by homelessness. It is our hope that by participating in Sleep Out Saturday our students and families will gain a better understanding about the needs of our neighbors and will be inspired to take action by providing options for the poor and vulnerable. There are many ways you can participate: register to Sleep Out at home (in a tent, in your car, or in your family room); attend the Rally at the College of DuPage from 6:30-8:00 on November 1st; make a donation to support the work that Bridge Communities does to serve our community. By working together we hope to show our solidarity in committing to ending the cycle of homelessness.

“If sometimes our poor people have had to die of starvation, it is not that God didn't care for them, but because you and I didn't give, were not an instrument of love in the hands of God, to give them that bread, to give them that clothing; because we did not recognize Him, when once more Christ came in distressing disguise, in the hungry man, in the lonely man, in the homeless child, and seeking for shelter.” – Saint Teresa of Calcutta

Sincerely,
St. Petronille Parish and School
