On November 6th more than 1,000 children, teens and adults will spend the night sleeping outside in tents, boxes, or cars or doubled up inside their homes without a bed to call their own, all to raise awareness about family homelessness and funds for Bridge Communities' Transitional Housing Program.

Your help is needed now more than ever. With your help, Bridge Communities will transition over 100 families to self-sufficiency by working with community partners to provide mentoring, housing, and supportive services. Please give to demonstrate your commitment to helping homeless families build a bridge to a brighter future!

A personal message from Molly Colford Howieson

As some of you know, I always feature a picture of the grandkids. This year its of my grandsons. The oldest will be driving soon and busy with football. My twins, one is busy with his lawncare and soon snow removal with his trusty John Deere, the other just finished up his football season. They are all very busy with school and interests and they always know where they are sleeping tonight. Today, a child will be getting out school in your community and not know where they are going to stay tonight. To Mom's sisters house? Her friends? To a local hotel? I have been especially blessed this past year to watch 5 Mom's become homeowners, another 3 are searching now. Two are renting on the fair market and I have another client waiting on to hear if she was chosen by Habitat for Humanity. One Mom completed her Associates another a Medical billing and coding certification. Both increased their earnings significantly because of this. Others are still in process in completing training or education to also increase their incomes, with the goal of being able to afford housing when they leave. Unfortunately, the cost of renting has gone up significantly. The average 2 bedroom is now over $1500 per month! Thank you in advance for supporting me in reaching my goal of covering the cost of one months rent!

Sincerely,
Molly Colford Howieson
