Did you know - not only will you be helping a family become more self-sufficient - but your car donation is also Tax Deductible.

By donating your car to Bridge Communities who then donates it directly to a family in need, you may be able to claim a higher tax deduction than donating it to a charity that sells used cars for cash. You may be able to deduct the full Kelly Blue Book value of the donated car.

Why Is The Need For Car Donations So Great?

One of the biggest challenges that our Transitional Housing Program families struggle with is finding and retaining a good job that will support their families.

One of the most significant barriers to their finding and keeping employment is that of unreliable transportation. Many of the families enter our program with no car or cars that soon break down. Most of these cars are not worth the cost of repairing

There is limited public transportation in DuPage County and owning a car is a real necessity for any family.

Besides transportation to work, our moms need reliable cars to transport their children to daycare, school, doctor's appointments, etc.
