Transitional Housing Program Partners
Who we work with
Bridge Communities works in partnership with local churches and community action groups to provide transitional housing to homeless families that live and work in DuPage County. By working together, Bridge and its Program Partners can provide a comprehensive program to those we serve.
Our Program Partners provide:
- Volunteer Mentors: the "heart" of our model of transitional housing. Trained volunteer mentors meet on an ongoing, regular basis with the families and help them develop the life skills to achieve and maintain their self-sufficiency and permanent housing.
- Financial Support: partner in the essential financial support to share in the costs of renting an apartment and associated services.
- Housing Resources: supply furniture and household items for client family, if needed.
Bridge Communities Program Partners
Program Partners are the foundation of Bridge’s Transitional Housing Program, providing financial support, volunteer mentors and other help as needed to ensure that the client families they serve succeed. Following is a list of Bridge Communities’ current Program Partners. According to the DuPage Homeless Continuum of Care, more than 70,000 DuPage County residents are living in poverty and just one paycheck away from homelessness. More than 24,000 of them are children.
