Housing:

Location of Transitional Housing Program buildings: Addison, Carol Stream, Glendale Heights, Glen Ellyn, Naperville, Westmont, and Woodridge

Employment:

83 clients worked with employment services

12 clients completed Career Vision skill assessment testing

19 clients received employment training at in-house job readiness training

46 clients were hired for full-time positions

15 clients were hired for part-time positions

5 clients received college degrees

9 clients earned professional certifications or graduated from vocational training

30 clients enrolled in college or vocational training classes

11 clients enrolled in ELL and/or GED classes

Education:

56 children received tutoring services

28 adults received tutoring services and assessments

25 tutors

9 pre-schoolers received Early Childhood Assessments

8 college scholarships awarded

43 summer camp scholarships awarded 

30 Learning Resource Center volunteers

Bridge Communities is a program that transforms lives of homeless families.  Surveys completed in 2014 show that, one year after graduating from the Bridge program:

  • 94% of graduates maintained stable housing
  • 84% of graduates maintained stable employment
