  • 47% graduates had not increased their debt

2012 Program Statistics

January 1, 2012 - December 31, 2012

Intake:

104 families served

108 adults served

197 children served

1,754 calls from persons in a housing crisis

Housing:

79,420 housing nights provided

75 apartments in the Transitional Housing Program

319 volunteer mentors

Location of Transitional Housing Program buildings: Addison, Carol Stream, Glendale Heights (2), Glen Ellyn (2), Naperville (5), Westmont (4), and Woodridge

Employment:

63 clients worked with employment services

17 clients completed Career Vision skill assessment testing

20 clients received employment training at LDS Employment Resource Services and in-house job readiness training

40 clients were hired for full-time positions

8 clients received college degrees

6 clients earned professional certifications or graduated from vocational training

33 clients enrolled in college or vocational training classes

15 clients enrolled in ELL and/or GED classes

Education:

68 children received tutoring services

15 adults received tutoring services

30 certified and volunteer tutors

10 pre-schoolers received Early Childhood Assessments

2 college scholarships awarded

55 summer camp scholarships awarded (14 from Covenant Harbor Camp)

70 Learning Resource Center volunteers
