Transform the Life of a Homeless Family

Financial gifts to support client families in the Bridge Communities Transitional Housing Program go to work on six levels to provide:

  • safe, affordable housing
  • life-skills mentoring
  • financial management skills
  • employment counseling and coaching
  • donated cars to use for work and child care
  • tutoring for children and adults

Ways to Give

  • Give online using a MasterCard or Visa
  • Project Flip Mode
Having experienced homelessness twice in the last 4 years, Bridge Communities graduate, Jill Markussen is committed to give back to the community and to help other homeless families. Each month, Project Flip Mode will feature a family who needs support. Learn more and donate online.
  • Mail a check to Bridge Communities: 505 Crescent Blvd., Glen Ellyn, IL 60137
  • Adopt a child through our Child Sponsorship Program that provides funding for one year of tutoring and mentoring for a school-age child.  Tutoring costs are $1,500 per school year.  You can give the gift of tutoring and educational advancement to a homeless child.
  • Pay tribute to someone special by donating a gift in their honor or memorialize a special friend or family member with a memorial gift.  Donate online and indicate your special intentions.  We will acknowledge your gift to the specified individual or family.
  • The corporation or business where you work (or worked, if you have retired) may offer a corporate matching gift program that will match your contribution.  This is an easy way to double, or even triple, your donation to Bridge Communities.  Inquire with your human resource department to find out about a matching gift program.
  • Bridge Communities is an approved United Way agency.  Check with your employer to find out how you can designate your United Way contribution to Bridge Communities.
